I recently went in for my year post-op appointment for a breast augmentation that Dr. Altman did in September 2010. While I was there I decided to get Botox done as well. I was so pleased with him yet again, that it reminded me that I really wanted to write a review so anyone out there searching for the best plastic surgeon to go to would know to go to him! My breast augmentation story went like this: A year ago I was searching everywhere for a plastic surgeon to get implants. I went to consultations all over Orange County and parts of LA county, but every dr I met left me with a feeling of unease. I confided in my aunt that I was searching for a plastic surgeon to get implants, and she surprised me by giving me the name of her surgeon, Dr. Altman. (The surprise was that I had no clue she even had breast implants! They look so real!) So, I scheduled a consultation with him, and knew within 10 minutes of talking to him that he was the absolute right choice. There is something about him and his staff that put you right at ease. He radiates honesty and a certain quality that just lets you know that he knows what he is doing. Everything from the way his office looks, to his manner, just felt so much different than the other drs I had consulted with. I needed his help in deciding a size, because I have a small frame and I am pretty skinny, but I still wanted a full look... if that makes sense. I knew from looking at other girls with my frame and shape that getting a bigger size can make you look unnatural. I expressed all these fears to Dr. Altman, and he was very patient with me & very understanding of my wories. He had sizers for me to try on, and he helped me decide on something that would give me a very natural look while also giving me the fullness that I wanted. Basically, I wanted to be "chesty" without looking like I had implants, and that is not easy to accomplish on someone who is 5 foot 3 and 105lbs. However, Dr. Altman accomplished it!!! The results he gives are so natural it is thrilling! Everytime I look in the mirror I am 100% happy with the results. Not only do they look real, but they feel real. I don't know how he did it! I was expecting at least some kind of "implant" look, just because I didn't think it was possible to be my height and weight and still get the "chesty" look I wanted without some telltale sign. But I am thrilled to say that you absolutely can't tell. :) I look exactly how I wanted to. Like a petite girl blessed with a good chest! I even went into a dressing room with my mom the other day and changed right in front of her. I have kept my surgery a secret from the majority of everyone I know, my mom included. Anyway, she looked at me in that dressing room and said, "I always knew you'd have my figure. You are petite & busty. I always thought you were just wearing a padded bra." She had no idea that I had breast augmentation! Aside from the fact that I am thrilled with the results and how good of a surgeon he is, I am also very happy with his personality and all of his staff. They make you feel so welcomed. They are genuinely good people. You can tell that he is a genuinely good, talented person, who picked a team of genuinely good talented people to work with. I especially love Lynn. As I mentioned, I went in for my post-op year appointment & also got Botox. Both Dr. Altman & Lynn were in the room to administer it, with Dr. Altman doing the actual shots and Lynn assisting and helping divert my attention away from the needle. Once again, they made me feel so at ease. They explained everything to me, and adjusted the dose of the Botox based on my personal needs. I am in my mid-twenties, and am very fair skinned with some lines already spouting up, so they took into consideration my age and skin, and tailored a dose so as to not "over-dose" me. They take in so many factors while working with me. I love it! It is never a "one way/size fits all mentality". They do everything so precisely. It has been a week since my apointment, and now I have another reason to be thrilled! Just as my breast augmentation is perfect, so is my Botox! Completely natural! I am so happy to be a patient of Dr. Altman's and his staff. I owe them a million thank yous! -D.L. |

Dearest Dr. Altman and Staff, It is a Sunday morning and I just hug up the phone with you, Dr. Altman. I had a concern and I did not hesitate to call you, mainly because I love talking with you. Your answering service answered and it did not take you more than two seconds to return my call with the warm, comforting voice I am so used to. You alleviated all of my fears, told me to call the office Monday morning (they would be expecting my call), and you would get me in as soon as it was convenient for me. This is one of the many reasons I am writing you this letter. You not only treat me with such kindness, but do the same for my whole family, whom are all patients of yours as well. I had breast augmentation and could not be happier. You made me look and feel like a million dollars on my wedding day in a Vera Wang wedding dress that would not have looked nearly as stunning if I did not get a little help from you! The abdominoplasty you performed on my sister made her look amazing. When she first went in for her consultation, she was impressed with your warmth and understanding, as well as, how kind and accommodating your staff was. Your call the night before surgery, and your comforting nature before and after surgery made the experience less scary. She never had to wait more than two minutes in your waiting room and you always made her feel like your most important patient. Dr. Altman, As you can see, my daughter looks beautiful. She had the best time in her life this fall, and all because of you. Dr. Altman and Staff, I wanted to send you these photos of our wedding because you have been a big part in turning my life around. It was because of Dr. Altman and his team that I have gained the confidence and self-esteem that had been missing my entire adult life. At the time of my first surgery I was 38. Dr. Altman changed my life the day he said he could help me. My birth defect caused by Poland Syndrome kept me from loving my body and in turn myself. Now after 4 corrective surgeries over the past five years, I am able to wear my wedding dress with great confidence and joy. Each member of you staff is now like family to me. Your support and encouragement has given me the gift of love... love of myself and the love of my life. Dr. Altman and Staff, I just want to start by thanking you for changing my life. I so much appreciate what you all have done for me. If you only knew the impact you have made on my life. Thank You! Thank You! I have for many years been so ashamed of my belly, not wanting to look at it, not wanting anyone to see it, let alone touch it. When I did have a love life, many years ago, it was one that was in the dark. Not being in a bathing suit around others, hating shopping for clothes. After seeing what you did for my friend, I saw a new beginning for me. I was determined to meet you and work hard and save for a tummy tuck. When I put my mind to something I usually go all the way, finally it happened. Professionally working in the medical field, I observe first hand the doctor/patient relationship, and boy can I see a difference in your practice. Dr. Altman, the first time we met you told me that you would be with me the whole way, that you would stand by me, that is why I continued to go forward. The compassion you showed toward my on my first visit will stay with me for the rest of my life. Dr. Altman I wanted to let you know how very much we appreciate your gifted surgical talent, your caring and reassuring attitude, and the warmth and engagement of your wonderful support staff, during her recent tenure as your patient. We could not have asked for a more positive overall experience and feel fortunate to have had you as our surgeon. On a personal note and from a mother's perspective, I want to tell you how emotionally moving it has been to watch her go through this transformation.
