Also called Radiothermoplasty, Thermage treatments employ a patented radiofrequency (RF) technology called ThermaCool. It has been clinically proven to tighten and gently lift skin to smooth out wrinkles and renew contours. The incision-free procedure is fast and easy, requires no down time from normal activities and may be performed on clients of all skin types.

The Thermage procedure can take up to a few hours, depending on the size of the target area. Additional time may be required for skin preparation prior to the procedure. Most people return to their regular activities the next day following Thermage. Some patients exhibit a temporary redness after treatment, although there is usually no long lasting swelling or bruising. As always, sunscreen is recommended as a part of good skin care.

Thermage facial treatments were approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 2002 as a safe and effective way to cosmetically enhance the features of the face.
